Abstract

This study investigates residents' awareness, attitudes, and behaviors concerning domestic solid waste management in Hanoi. Statistical analysis identifies "knowledge of domestic solid waste management" as the primary determinant of household waste segregation behavior. Consequently, it is recommended that the Hanoi municipal government implement targeted educational interventions to enhance environmental knowledge. Such measures are essential for promoting waste classification at the source, thereby minimizing environmental discharge and alleviating the operational burden on waste management authorities.
